When attempting to switch on wifi all iget is "error".With bluetooth no error message but will not switch on.Have tried the usual tricks like removing battery whilst switched on and powering on and off several times plus factory reset but no joy. did manage to get bluetooth working once or twice for a short time - Any ideas anyone?????

    Hello, welcome to the forums.

Sorry to hear you appear to be having problems. Do you mean the Galaxy Gio? It has its own sub forum here: Samsung Galaxy Gio - Android Forums

From what you've described though, if the issue is still there after a factory reset, it could suggest a hardware problem. How old is the handset? Still in warranty?

It is 1 month old but purchased in Oman so warranty does not apply in UK- bluetooth has suddenly switched on by the way but still no wifi

It should have an international warranty, you might just need to send it to Oman.

Samsung do not give international warranties apparently,I've checked - I bought it on the wrong assumption that a reputable company would !!!!.
My son works in Oman and I have experience of posting to Oman -hit and miss is a very mild way of putting it after having several posts never arriving

I don't know what else to suggest then mate, sorry.

Does it function as a phone? (Obviously minus wifi and bluetooth)

yes the phone functions OK .At the moment I have bluetooth so I suspect a firm ware problem. I have tried 3 wlan test codes without success but they are obviously not the one for this model - anyone got it - Other than that I'll wait for a new firmware update and try that or wait until the model comes on sale in the UK and try a retail repair out fit
