It's Probably Time To Change Phones

29. HTC Evo 4G LTE

It's kind of like when you see an old actor pop up on TV and get surprised that he's not dead yet. A sh***y feeling for a former great but... sorry, it's the truth.

I resemble this remark.

I happen to still enjoy my LTEvo. :)

The purpose of that Gizmodo article seems to be nothing more than getting a few more hits as a humor piece. And the title should also be changed to, "Every Android Phone from Major US Carriers, Ranked ".

Never really read Giz, don't think I'm going to start now. :p
Plus, as "underpowered" as it is, the Moto G is a pretty incredible phone, should be higher ranked. Won't even go into their dissing on the G2.

I'll grant em, I'm not really sold on the software (and mine's running CM11), but it's not all that bad. The camera app blows AOSP out of the water.

Its Gizmodo. Its ALL about link hits.

That being said, I can't disagree with the One there, though I'd put it in 2, not 3. Best looking phone there is. It's why I finally caved and got one yesterday. Well, that and OmniROM.

Can't disagree with the "Phones You Should Probably Not Buy Unless You're a Giant

11. HTC One Max
12. Galaxy Mega"

I have not seen the Max in person, but the Mega is absolutely SILLY. I'm also glad the Victory did as well as it did, its a great device.

If someone would make me a salt shaker icon, you would know I wasn't taking it seriously. I just posted for your - you fill in the blank

Think the Mega might be silly in the United States where phones are available subsidised, and I'm rather surprised it's available there. I think that phone was originally intended for emerging markets, where they might want a large screened phone but some people may not be rich enough to afford a high-end phone like a Note 2 or 3.

Seems like an arsehole article written to get comments. Dont pay it any heed

Most gizmodo/Gawker articles are. I've found so much wrong information on all of their sites I pretty much gave up on them.

The biggest was (and I got banned for pointing it out) when the ASUS transformer was given a bad review for having a non removable battery but ihones are given great reviews for having non-removable batteries.

The other time I was banned was when they asked what smartphone feature made it worth giving up good call quality. My comment that is why people buy phones other than iphones because reputable companies like motorola or blackberry know how to make the phone part decent so you don't have to sacrifice call quality to get a smartphone.

Their snarky and condescending reviews are annoying. I guess everyone with a phone more than six months old is a loser.

Yeah. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 for a year and a half. I was really tempted to get the Nexus 5. The reason I didn't is that the SGS3 is just so good and still working so well. There was no reason to really spend money to replace something that still suites my every needs.

Everything after the top 9 are just lazy groupings. He claims to rank every phone and then clearly doesn't bother putting much effort after the top 9. I cannot believe that both large phones just happened to be consecutive. It's even harder to believe that all 7 keyboard phones are right beside one another.

It's a fail right out of the blocks. Nexus 5 #1, and HTC One #3? Not here, where an external SD card is vital for backing up photos from my DSLR away from base. Moto X #2? Not available in Europe..... and I'm not even going to begin to rip apart the "OMG it's made from plastic" comment about the S4. :)

9/10 for amusement, 1/10 for accuracy.
