This won't go on forever, though it may seem to. Hopefully, one of these ip battles will become the impedance for the real patent/ip reform we so desperately need. Invalidate 90% of Apples craptacular patents (and a whole lot from everyone else too) give copyrights to some off those design ideas, get back to fair and equitable cross license and continue the innovation!!! Until then? The lawyers win and everyone else looses.

Repeal the dot com patent law changes to start, so there's fair comparison to prior art.

The patent on making toast because it specified a temperature and a new name, Bread Refreshing Method, ought never have happened and I still consider it a national embarrassment, and a clear indictment on those laws.

In any case, this will have little impact.

The quote in the article says that this is about not coming to a license agreement over one Motorola patent, and won't impact the iPhone 4s.
