Help Gmail app sends out two emails for every one I send

Every time I send an email from my EVO using the Gmail app, it send two copies of it to the recipient. I can even log into my Gmail on my PC and see that it did indeed send out two copies of the same email. I have searched google and all through the settings in the Gmail app, but cannot figure this out. Help!
