GMail app won't play Google Voice messages

Hi all,
When I use the GMail app to check Google voice messages, and I click on the "Play message" link, it opens up my browser and prompts me to save the file "Voicemail.mp3". Is this normal behavior? I swear it used to just play the message by default.

For the record, the google voice app plays the message just fine, but my notifications come via GMail, so I'd like to listen to the message via the GMail app.
