I was reading the comments about Gmail and the info on FriendCaster. Both apps have an update available. It seems that the latest Gmail update breaks the Facebook notifications I get from FriendCaster. The latest Gmail app does not allow FriendCaster to integrate with it. That means the Facebook notification feature in FriendCaster that is based on Facebook notifications via email no longer works. The feature I use in FriendCaster is the Gmail option for notifications. I set up Facebook to send notifications via email to my Gmail account. FriendCaster intercepts these emails and plays the notification sound on my phone. FriendCaster then deletes these emails automatically, so my inbox is not cluttered with Facebook emails that I already know about. The great thing about this feature is that I get Facebook push notifications. I am very upset that the latest Gmail update breaks this feature in FriendCaster. FriendCaster had to update their app to take this feature out since it no longer works. What upsets me is that the reason I actually paid for FriendCaster was for this particular feature. For now, I am just not going to update my Gmail or FriendCaster apps. It doesn't appear that the new Gmail has any really cool feature that I want. The same with FriendCaster. I'm pretty much stuck with these versions now. I am hoping that Google fixes the Gmail app so that the integration with FriendCaster Pro works again.
