gmail contacts to hero??

I think I have looked at all the post on getting contacts from gmail into my hero's contact list, and nothing seems to work for anyone. Seems unreal
to think I'd have to imput all those addresses, and phone numbers by hand. Is there anyone out there that has succesfully imported their contacts into their phone? Looks impossiable so far!!!

Mine update automatically, so I'm not sure what your problem is. The same Gmail account that has your contacts is the one setup on your phone, correct?

Yup mine update in about 10 seconds, and update everytime I make a change in gmail, I can go to my phone and the change has been made!
