Help Gmail not notifying of new mail

Hi all
For some reason, Gmail has decided to stop letting me know when a new email has been received.

This only has been since the redesign update, as my Note2 would happily tell me when a new email arrived prior to the redesign

Does anyone have any ideas or is there a setting I need to reactivate etc?

Go to the main settings page.

1. Scroll down to "Accounts".
2. Click on "Google".
3. Click on your Gmail account.
4. Make sure "Sync Gmail" is checked.

Thanks for the reply Lodingi but yes, all my accounts are set to auto sync ....

As I mentioned this only seems to has Abe happened since the update.

New emails are being received but no notification from gmail. I'd say it's more than likely a gmail bug but thought I'd try here just in case

Look to see if you have your account set as a priority account. If it is try switching it to the default setting.

Settings> gmail account>inbox type

I also noticed mine had stopped notifying me of new emails last week. I just cleared the cache and data from the GMail app, logged back in and it seems to have sorted the problem out for now *touches wood*!

Clearing data in manage applications will solve the issue every time. Sometimes I have 4 emails in my inbox and I can't see them so clearing data resyncs gmail and all is well

this will solve it, dunno why, but for some reason google reset the setting to "do not notiy" ....good luck
