Gmail not sending notifications

Hi

My S20 has stopped getting notifications through to my phone when i get an email,ive checked they are all turned on still, not in sleep mode, delated data and cleared cache but im still not getting anything through,any ideas?

do you have sync turned on? are your emails coming in? just not notifying you? when did this start happening? are your google apps all up to date?

Sync is on yes,yes mail is coming through,as soon as i go onto the app the new mails are there,its been like for a cpl of days now and yes all apps up to date

maybe try putting the phone in safe mode. this will prevent any 3rd party apps from running just to see if an app is preventing your email notifications from going thru.

you might want to start thinking about doing a factory reset.

the app was updated 2 days ago as well same time roughly as they stopped???? could be the update that has caused it to happen??

This same issue has happened to my Motorola G7, I noticed it not giving new message indication about 2 weeks ago, pretty sure I did not allow any updates and have no apps running but one game (bubble pop).
