GMail not showing as option in Messaging widget?

When I go to add the Messaging widget, it shows all of my email accounts except for GMail. Why would I not be able to add GMail notifications to this messaging widget?

Noticed this as well. You need to add gmail as a new Email account in order for it to show up in Messaging. But that will mess up other stuff. Seems like a bug to me.
