    Hi
Newbie here - go easy on me!
I'm about to chop my iPhone in for a Desire. I've had one on trial for a couple of weeks and love it - apart from the Gmail bit. Gmail on the iPhone is way better - being able to access all folders and move mail between them. Why is the experience so poor on the Desire when it's Google-based? My trial phone was on 2.1 so maybe 2.2 has improved this.
    Cheers.

In 2.2 simply hit menu/labels and go into the "folder you want" long click the message you want to move and choose a new label for it.

I am sure this must be possible in 2.1 as well...

Yes you can do this in 2.1. Long press the email you want to move, select change labels (you have to scroll down as this option is not immediately visible), then choose the folder you want.

You can aslo highlight the tick next to the message in the inbox and a menu appears at the bottom of the screen from which you can choose 'Labels'. You can then amend labels by just ticking/unticking as required.
