Help Gmail

I am using my fiance's old phone. Huawei-M860. She set it up on one of her gmail addresses, but it got hacked and we can't get into it. With that, I can't download new, or update old apps. I try to add my account, but it is saying that there is no wifi connection, yet the wifi screen says I am connected.

I need to do a hard reset on this phone and need to save my texts and contacts.

I have no problem getting INTO my apps (Facebook, Pandora, etc), but they need an update and it won't let me without the gmail working. Also need to download a couple new ones, and I can't get that far.

Also, without a backup gmail (mine) entered, can I delete the other, hacked, gmail account without the phone blowing up on me?

The best best first off would be to create brand new Gmail accounts for both of you.
Each of your phones can be restored to full working condition.
