Just wondering if anyone else was able to install go launcher hd pad on a rooted kindle hd. I was able to and just thought I'd let y'all know it is possible. It runs pretty smooth I've had no problems so far.

yea works nice on the KFHD.! I personally love adw though.

I had a lot of issues with adw and was looking for an alternative. But adw was really nice too.

really ? what issues did you run into ? i know that the screen doesnt auto focus when switching to landscape and back.

you can either make it a system app using rom toolbox or cut and paste the apk from your data/app folder to your system/app folder and setting permissions to rw-r-r. then when you press home button it will ask which launcher do you prefer. then choose your launcher and BOOM! custom launcher.

As someone who is very new to this, what would be the advantage of installing this?
Widgets and better app management without having to dig through the carousel or the app page. I'm thinking about doing it, but I'd prefer to have a link to the launcher from my favorites section instead of completely replacing the carousel and amazon launcher system. Is that possible?

it is possible. make the launcher a system app using rom toolbox or es file explorer, then when you hit home it will ask Complete action using: Home or Go Launcher. at the bottom check use by default for this action then hit Home. it will take you to the carousel and you will have go launcher as an app that you can put as a favorite.
