10 days ago I had to get a new phone ASAP (stress crack on my old LG Dare) so after an hour at Verizon, I picked the iPhone. Needless to say, I'm not that impressed. Screen is small and its kinda slow.

So I went back to Verizon today and looked at the HTC Thunderbolt, Samsung Droid Charge and the Droid Bionic. They seem great, all have pros/cons.

I'd like to hear your real, usefull feedback. I have to make the switch by Monday or I'm stuck with the iPhone for 18 months.

    Thank you!

I see you have Verizon. Here we have US Cellular. I've been in debate myself over the crappy phone I have. I went to YouTube and watched the dogfights between HTC, I Phones and Windows phones. From what I can tell HTC with the Android program is out performing any of the I Phones and Windows phones. The HTC's are faster and have better resolution in the screens. Plus over 200,000 Android apps, with almost 1/2 being free.
I learned a lot by watching the videos and reading comments from people who actually use the phones. Just a suggestion, that way you can see what the phones are doing after many months of use. Manufacturer reviews are very misleading. After doing my own research, I think I will choose an HTC phone.

I have an HTC and I am very happy with it. If I had to get a new one tomorrow I would stick with HTC.

I've been a big fan of the Charge for quite a while now, mostly due to it's screen. The Thunderbolt is nice, as it has a bit more RAM than the Charge, but not so great a screen. One of my friends just got the Bionic, and I am almost completely swayed over to it. :) 1080 output, 1BG RAM, super high resolution, dual-core, you name it - it's got it. I'll probably be going with the Bionic in early October. BIONIC! :)

I think you will get mixed reviews on the best, everyone usually picking what they have.

Lets face it, people are biased

However, best phone on the market right now through VZ if you go by the specs is the Bionic hands down.

Can't argue with quality and reliability of Motorola either.

I'd recomend the Bionic simply because of the dual core processor and the 4G capability in the same phone. The Bionic is the 1st phone to actually have both (dual core + 4G).

This is definitely what I'd say. I know you said the iPhone is too small, but the Bionic is considerably larger. Make sure you can handle it (my wife said it's just too big coming from a Droid, bout the same size as the iPhone).
If you want the latest and greatest, the Bionic is the way to go. If you don't have and won't for the near future, I'd go with the Incredible 2 (plus it's a slightly smaller screen).

From what I heard, the Droid Bionic is supposed to be pretty beastly. Super fast. That's what I would go with.
