Root Gone too far with root - please help

    Rooted my phone, and went through deleted all stock apps that i never use. All was good until I decided Gtalk was no longer for me, so I uninstalled Gtalk and GtalkProvider I think they were called. I left Gmail and GmailProvider on but they seem to be codependant.

    Has anybody got the APK files for the two Gtalks I mentioned, and can I just install them normally, or do they need to be installed to root> if so, how?

    I know I should have backed up the apps first but just thought everything would be fine.

    Google for the apks, they're probably somewhere on XDA. I personally don't use gmail.

    I can suggest K9-mail which uses push mail for gmail. This way you wouldn't have to reinstall gtalk. BUT, you can't simply just install them like a normal application. First you've gotta push them to your /system/app/ folder, then you've gotta chown root them...
