So I currently have an LG GT540 but I'm looking to upgrade to something high end and reliable. I'm thinking HTC but I would like some input from other HTC users.

I also want to do a contract of either 12 months or 24, so I want it to remain fairly new (meaning it will still be updated later on). But it can not be on Telstra. Hope some of you can help :)

My Friend uses the HTC Desire HD and he tells me it is super fast, reliable and the phone is fast with no lag what so ever.
