So I have received my 5th X for replacement and it comes out of the box with a screen defect.. I call Verizon and tell them what happened. Now, keep in mind my 4th X I had for a week and a hafl before I realized that people who call me cannot hear me unless I am on speaker.. Moving on, they tell me after deliberating that they are going to make an exception and send me a "certified pre-owned x2" but since its so new that it will probably be NEW! Now since this is a warranty exchange, they told me it wont affect my plan as far as upgrades go.. (I am due in August I think).. So, I am gonna give the X2 a try and see what its like!!

Jealous a little! I'm very happy with my X and have had it since launch. I'm sure the extra processing power is sweet and you'll have to let us know what you think.

I missed the dedicated camera button....and didn't find the DX2 to be any faster than my rooted .573 leaked GB. Returned....waiting for Bionic??

One of the things I was most excited about on the DX2 was the increase resolution.

What was weird, though, was that the resolution was quite obviously higher, but there was a lot less aliasing on edges, which gave it a slightly grainy appearance - you could see the individual pixels, unlike on the X where edges are well-aliased.

That said, I sure wouldn't turn down a free one ;)

I noticed similarly. Many of the UI graphics were not upped in resolution leaving you the feeling that the screen was less crisp than the DX's. You could tell that the resolution was highr. Side by side this was clearly evident, but too bad the ui graphics appear to be the same as the Dx's

Well, it wasn't just graphics that weren't resized. Those I anticipate looking poor and they have a specific way they look bad. But the actual UI elements looked more grainy than the X, which should all be at the native resolution.

I can't tell if it's a function of the RGB pixel layout of the screen, or if it's a software rendering element that actually aliases the X edges more than the X2. I'm not quite familiar enough with display technologies.

Well, I opened the box and got it started. You are greeted right away with a dual core logo! The phone wouldnt program because its was new.. Had to go to the store to have them do it.. So far I can def notice that the whites are whiter and the black are def blacker. Other than that, we are limited by the design of the app/icon/program... Once I installed LP, it is def faster... I really dont like the gallery app yet.. Maybe it will grow on me but it hasnt yet.. As I play with it more, I will update this..
