Google Calendar issue...

    Alright, here's the problem I'm having:

    I try to add an event to my default calendar app, it tells me to sign in. I sign in using my gmail account that I have the calendar on. I get an error telling me this account already exists on this device (Xoom). I go to account setting, sync options and there is no sync calendar option under that email....

    Anyone else have this issue before?

    I'm assuming that you have your calendar backed up to gmail on-line, so...

    Settings > Applications >Manage applications > All > ... scroll down to Calendar and open it and select "Clear data".

    Thanks for your response. I have tried clearing the data from this app. The issue I'm having is I can't add events to my calendar app at all. When I double tap on the date/time I want it pops up with a window saying "No calendars" Then a long paragraph telling me to add an account. When I attempt to add the account it tells me that account already exists on this device.

    As mentioned above, I go to the account sync options and there is no sync calendar. I use my desktop gmail calendar for quite a lot of things and I would love to be able to have it update on my Xoom.

    Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Just for future reference I solved the issue.

    I had to remove my account completely from my Xoom, delete my calendar from my web gmail and re-add everything.

    I believe the problem was that I started using my calendar more frequently after I got the Xoom so I never really had a calendar associated with my gmail account.

    Just thought it would be some useful information in case someone else has this issue.

    I'm having the same calender problem.

    How do I remove my account from xoom?

    Also it was suppose to update to 3.1 automatically but not on this machine.

    Seems I can't do one thing right on this xoom. Very sad if I can't do anything I'll return it soon.

    So I really need lots of help

    Many thanks for all help in baby steps please. :)

    where do I find settings on xoom? Or at my gmail act?

    Settings is under My Apps in the upper right corner. Go to accounts, select the account and in the upper right it will have the option to remove the account.

    I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other problems :)
