google calendar widget

The native calendar widget doesn't display the current days events only the upcoming ones. Is there a way to change this or a different calendar app that is better?

I'm looking for a calendar widget that shows a full month view with some degree of appearance/color customization. I have "S2 Calendar Widget" but its generally pretty ugly with its color use...

Calwidget is great, developer provides excellent support. It's free, but good enough to pay for.

There's another calendar widget that looks pretty cool - includes weather as well as calendar events. Aniagenda: Agenda Widget. $1.99, but looks like it has some nice functionality. Haven't tried it myself...

thanks, i'll have to give these a try. I can't believe that the stock widget would display upcoming events instead of ones on the current day.

I just downloaded Android Agenda Widget...it was free and seems to be pretty solid. Haven't had a lot of time to play with it, but so far so good.

i just added the default to one of my home screens, and it's showing a 5:15 event for today as the first one (it's 5:02 now). i'm curious as to why others would be starting with tomorrow.

that said, i also hate the look of default one and use calwidget.

I use CalWidget. 1x1 and 2x2 are free. Anything bigger is paid.

I use this as well and i like it so far, well atleast compared to the stock one. I heard teh new update made some changes to the calandar widget. i wonder if they made i so it is actually usefull.

When I downloaded calwidget i get a starting screen with all my options (layout, design, etc) I can't seem to get to an actual calender. What am I doing wrong here?

I've had the same experience as you, with it simply showing whatever's next. That being said, could the problem be for all day events, with it showing not the event that you're IN but the one that is NEXT? Just supposing....

Once you've tweaked your settings, just go to the home screen on which you'd like to place the widget, then go to your widget menu and you'll see it there with all the others.

I've pretty much replaced the paid Pure version with Android Agenda Widget which is free. I've kept them both on the home screen because I don't want my money to have been wasted lol

Since we're comparing calender widgets, could someone recommend an Agenda-Style widget (like CalWidget in appearance), that scrolls up and down when you slide your finger on it, so be able to scroll farther ahead in your calender?

I haven't seen any widgets in which you can scroll with your finger, except HTC ones.

I know Twidroid has two buttons for up and down but not scrolling with a finger.
