Looks like I picked a bad day to try and update android with the Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit. I backed up everything and downloaded the factory image, got to the point where I have to select the file to flash and then realized the factory images are ZIP files instead of TAR/TGZ. The Toolkit does not recognize ZIP files. I tried repackaging it as a TAR, but it then fails to unpack properly. Is there another way to flash the factory image on an unlocked Nexus 6 besides the Nexus Root Toolkit? A way that does not mind if the files are ZIP instead of TAR? Wugfresh promises to have an updated version of the program out soon.. but so far it hasn't happened.

To answer my own question, looks like House of Nexus 1.9.4 now works with the new images.. haven't tried it yet but I'm about to!
