I know there is a thread for this in the apps area (Google Goggles - Android Forums) , but I suspect many Droid users hang here fairly exclusively. Anyways, be sure to check it out...good for some wasted time! :D

The coolest use I have found is business cards. Reads the data and offers to create a contact! Very accurate with what I have tested.

-Have fun!

I downloaded it a bit ago and it's amazing. Took picture of a painting and it found it right away. Perfect for visiting someone's house and having something to talk about.

Haven't tried the contact card (I should), but the painting and bar code work flawlessly.

Think I'll delete Barcode Scanner now.

Yeah this app is gonna be awesome, it's a bit wonky on business cards for the moment, but it gets some of them. But overall as it gets refined it's going to be the next invaluable tool from our new google overloads :) /welcome overloards

Ooh! I like that idea of using it as a business card scanner! How ingenious!!! I'll have to start doing that for sure!!!

I had an OH MY GOD moment with Goggles. I tried it on my DirecTV remote to see if it would recognize it (it was the closest thing to me). It did not, but instead recognized the painting we have hanging on the wall! It was so tiny in the picture on the screen - like less than 10% of the total screen area, and totally blurry because it was small and out of focus. And Google found it! Welcome overlords!

We tried it out at work with my co-workers new Bose noise canceling headphones. Either it recognized the picture or was able to find the tiny text that had the model number on them. Wicked...

Or if you use google goggles, running on your droid, to go goggle your droid. If nothing special happens, try it at 88mph, and you know how much power to add :)

i've gotten wildly inaccurate results with it, except for business cards. it's awesome with business cards. and you can add to contacts.
