I have a galaxy s4 through att. Today I decided to try google hangouts. I cant seem to make the video chat portion work. From what I have read this is thanks to att. I am grandfathered into the unlimited data. I have read that I can fix thus by rooting my phone. This makes me nervous that I can brick my phone. So the question is can I root my phone make the changes needed to make hangouts work right, then unroot my phone and have the changes stay?

Google hangouts only works with ppl who have a google + acct. The person your trying to video chat with do they have one?
