I have a few questions, I can get one of the google i/o phones off ebay for a little cheaper than I can in the store but I'm a little cautious so if some of you guys can help me out in deciding if I should get it or go with a new one, I would appreciate it.

    1. Would I be able to put insurance on it still?

    2. Out of all the EVos that are having the major battery issues, screen releasing and grounding issue...are any of you guys using a google i/o phone?

    3. Was in a PITA to activate?

Any other information you guys may have to provide would also be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Guys~!

I have a Google I/O Evo, but haven't put it on my plan yet. Waiting until the gratis service runs out on the 20th to transfer it over, so I can revisit this thread then and let you know. I'm pretty sure insurance will transfer over, though.

I have no issues except crappy battery life.

    So Cal
I have a Google io Evo.

I had insurance on my Pre and it transferred over.

My phone is flawless, no grounding/screen issues.

I called the number on the Google io paper and got the phone activated.

Sweet, thank you for the info, I guess it really is a random shot on who has issues and who doesn't

From what I've seen, every single review that was done with the Google I/O EVO's seems to show a much much lower battery life as compared to the current release EVO's. I was somewhat skeptical when I bought my EVO and figured the battery life was going to be crap based on said reviews, but to my surprise my EVO gets better battery life than my BB Curve which I just upgraded from(not sure if that phone just had terrible battery life in general or what) which I'm extremely happy with.

When I activated mine on my line, I was able to add insurance to it.
