Help Google Keyboard - Won't display Emoji's

Hi There,

I can't get the Emoji Add-on dictionary to display on my keyboard.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, following by reinstalling the add-on keyboard and hitting refresh.

Running 4.4

I've had to download another keyboard but would rather just get it working.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I was under the impression that the Google keyboard never had emoji support except for those cream spinach green Android ones! Try a different Messaging app - that's what I did. Chomp SMS has them, and so does Verizon Messages (now Message+). VM also allows texting over wifi when out of their service area. The people at WhatsApp aren't going to like that!

Downloaded emoji language earlier to my Google keyboard

Now when I press and hold the return button I get
