Over the weekend I could voice search for things, and have it bring up the closest results to my location so I could nav to them. Now today, it says 'location unavailable' under the Google search bar (in the browser) where it used to say where my current location was. The GPS locator works fine in the Maps app, just not in Google searches. When I click the 'update' link in the Google page, it keeps going back to 'location unavailable'.

Any ideas? I have the 'Use My Location' option selected, and GPS enabled and would really like that service back.

Nevermind, I needed the 'use wireless locator' selected. I forgot the Verizon rep changed that. FYI for anyone else with the same problem!

I have the exact same problem, but have no idea what option you mean :'(

A search for "use wireless locator" on google yields exactly 3 results, including this one.

You need to enable wifi even if you do not attach to an accesspoint. Than the location on the browser will work
