Pinch zoom works great. Now just need it in the browser.

    You don't. It's automatic only.

    This.

If you want to see what it looks though, change your time to sometime at night, then load up a Navigation route.

Very nice! Chances are good that us Moto Droid users will be receiving pinch-to-zoom in the browser as well as the gallery when that rumored 2.1 update finally gets ported to our devices.

Nice - I just took a trip yesterday and night mode would've been great.

Now where is the MT browser (can't root, it's a corp phone)?

Why, because I told them of course!! :D

Many people had this update yesterday via custom rom updates. The feature has been talked about quite a bit.

It was not working, so I rebooted my phone and it prompted me to redownload the update, I think there was a problem with the update the first time, even though before I rebooted, it said I had latest version. Who knows. At least it works now!

Pinch and Zoom works for me.
Don't know how to tell if night mode exists or not. Is there a way to test for it?

It's a full on Google vs Apple war when pinch and zoom comes to the OS in the US.

Use xScope browser and you'll have pinch and zoom right now. Plus it's a faster browser and uses tab. Try it, you'll like it.

I just read an article in PCWorld where they speculated that perhaps the Droid "doesn't have the horsepower for pinch-to-zoom."

    Guess this shows THEM! HA!
