I'm still curious about what potential lies ahead for Maps and Navigation. Will there be more options for the turn-by-turn voice character? The fembot that's there now sounds more synthetic than other GPS I've heard, and the voice sounds distorted with certain words. Sometime the maps search has been frustrating. I could only remember the street name for one destination. I couldn't remember if it was "road", "street", "ave" etc. I kept trying to type in just the street name and maps would give me like one search result for a city on the other side of the world. Often on the Droid I feel like it could give more search results. It will say "Did you mean?" and list one option - a button for "no" would be nice so it could try a different search. I still don't understand how to best organize my personal maps, and locations that I frequent (for example, sometimes I'm out in a new area and want to use Nav to get me to a friend's house that I go to often). I'm trying to wrap my head around this stuff. I want to be able to mark locations easily, make notes/reviews about them and integrate "my maps", "where i've been", "places i've been" and stuff like "foursquare" and "yelp". This is all new to me, and I'm guessing Google Maps + GPS is pretty new to anyone. Let me know if you have any tips or insight into the implications of all this.
