I just read that the app is out but yet I can't find it in the market. is it not out on this phone yet or is the app not compatible with it?

It's not an app, it's a feature 
. It's only available on select devices, very few of them. Market and the stock Video Player will update to support it when it becomes available. Also note that if your phone is rooted, you will not get the update when it releases. Google has to block rooted devices because of the MPAA.
