I'm a total news junkie, and I've noticed a behavior with the Google News page that no other page exhibits on the X.

When you long-press a link, nothing happens. No menu, nothing. Every other site always opens the context menu when I long-press a link in the browser, but not Google News.

Is this some sort of its-our-phone-so-no-you-can't-do-that thing with Google? Or am I just paranoid and they have some goofy no-right-click javascript thing going...

I like to long-press and open links in a new tab/window so I can go back to the list of articles exactly where I was. A lot of sites change context when you go back/refresh, and it's unnecessary bandwidth use and a waste of time.

Anyway, to replicate it (if you can), go to the Google home page in the browser, click the News link, and then try to get a context menu out of a long-press on any link on the page. Does it work for you?

I attempted to replicate it and on google.com, I could not long press for either news or a typical search link. I also cross checked with yahoo.com, and it does work there.
