Alright, I know this is probably an EXTREMELY stupid question (especially coming from a person who roots Android devices constantly) but I have google now on my Asus TF700 running Android 4.2. Anyway, my Google Now will almost always show me the weather and the weather updates, but won't allow me to view other cards on my google now page. I know it will automatically "pull in" certain information, but I REALLY want to choose from some of the sample cards and have them always display on my google now page. I realize this is probably a novice problem, but if anybody knows how permently add cards to the Google Now page, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Cards can get populated by adding certain categories in the general settings for the app, or by searching for compatible things in the google search app. Might not show up immediately, and might take more than one search, but it should show up.

Yes, I've been trying to get my searches to effect what "cards" show up. But (for example) if I do a search for "Birthdays" all it does is Google it, it doesn't pull up my social media's birthdays. There's more to is than that, but that's kind of the basis of what issues I'm running into

I have Chrome at work, home laptop and multiple devices. If I pull up Google maps at work, then open Google Now on my phone, it'll try to navigate me to my destination. Downside is that Google Now will run down my phone battery quicker.
