I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, and I use it as my music player. I use the Google Play Music player, and have transferred a good number of my MP3s to the device (so I can play them locally rather than using my data plan for streaming them).

I've also created playlists (that appear to sync with Google Play Music).

Here's the problem - it seems that what happens is that I add a bunch of songs (in this case, about 50) that I have locally. Then at some point in the future, it syncs with the Google Play Music in the cloud. For some reason, it then drops a bunch of songs from the playlist (in this case we went from 50+ down to 13 - and note: this isn't the first playlist that this has happened to - with the other one it shortened 60+ down to 15). Then at some point soon after, my phone syncs with the playlist there, dropping my local playlist to the shortened 13 songs.

Has anyone had a problem with this? Are there any recommendations for what I can do to fix it?

One thing I've begun to consider is the idea of finding an alternate music player.

    Thanks!
