Thoughts Droid owners? I kinda wish they would also build towers with that kind of speed. Or do you guys think this might include wireless for those communities as well? Can you imagine even 100Mb/s wireless? Would love that on a Droid.

I'm interested in this myself. Not much expectation for them to go widespread with this though, it would take many years for them to build up a nation wide network. As for wireless that won't happen unless they lease other carrier's network but that wouldn't allow them to modify the towers. There isn't enough spectrum left for any more carrier's to build up a big network.

This shouldn't be here though, moved to the Android Lounge.

Doh I wish you hadn't moved it, no one reads the lounge forums. Anywho, I thought it was interesting from the article what they were saying about how Google isn't actually entering the broadband business but rather pushing the Cable and Telco monopolies to do better and trying to show congress what life could be like sans those monopolies. It confirms my suspicion about Google's plans to be very antagonistic to those monopolies to ensure more open internet and thus ensure their ability to do business.

Most of all, I just want gigabit internet though :)
