I checked spam. I have still yet to receive the invite, going on 40 hours.

A very kind person from this forum did hook me up with an invite, so if I do receive this one I will be passing it along to someone.

I hadn't heard about Google Voice before yesterday, sent in a request and got it in about 2 hours for my other email. Just checked my ASU email, and they had already sent me another invite, so I have a spare invite if anyone wants it.

I guess the first person to respond to my post?

it doesn't give me an option to send invites? or does it? can't find it...though this is all new and is a lot to sort through.

When you get an option to send out an invitation, there will be a new box ("invite someone" or something along that line) on the left hand side of your Google voice in-box page. I've had it a week now and I've yet to be given an option to invite someone.

I also graduated 7 years ago, hence no longer have a .edu email.

Well, I've been making my friends (we're all in college) go to the student site and then forward me the invite, and I just hand them out.

I don't see the point in making people pay for them.

Do student accounts get invites also?

I think that call screening and presentation only works if callers are using your google voice number. If they are dialing your regular mobile number they will still get google voice mail but no screening.

Question - if you dial or receive a call with Google voice to/from another Verizon customer, does it still count as free mobile to mobile or come out of your minutes?

Has anybody done this and not gotten an invite? I still have a .edu address from when I was in school and have submitted it twice now with no luck. Was thinking maybe they just hate my school? Oh well, if any of you do get one and could pass me an invite it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
