I used to love using Google Voice Search to dial phone numbers of places I would just speak into my phone. For some stupid reason now, it adds a '+' symbol in front of the numbers its trying to dial and an operator will say please try your call again. The phone numbers are correct but the + symbol screws it all up.

WHYYYYY????? There has to be a way to turn this off...

+ is shorthand for the international dialing code.

You could try adding your country code (1 if you are in the US), followed by the phone number omitting the first '0'. Include the area code if it's a landline.

How would I "add" this like you say? Google Voice Search automatically dials the number.
