I must have totally misread something. I'm using the L39C Android 4.1.2. I have a Google Voice account and the Voice app on the phone. I thought when I was connected via wifi and used GV for texting that it wasn't supposed to deduct from my Tracfone Texting "bank". Well, I obviously thought wrong because I've been texting today from home connected over my network and my text balance is going down.

Can someone please tell me where I went wrong?

I *may* have figured it out. Here's todays scenario.

Get up and obviously at home so the phone is still connected to my network.

Take the wife two hours away to the airport for her trip to the Gem Show in Tuscon So now the phone's not on my network

Get home, back on my home network so I think all's fine and am texting away
with her - check the balance and see I'm using texts.

I *think* what happened is, even though the phone reconnected automatically to my home network, I have to manually go back into the app and turn the "Receive text messages" back to use Google voice app

Does that sound right/reasonable? If yes, bummer to have to remember to manually do it everytime I connect to wifi but just a habit I'll need to develop I guess?

Well, apparently no one else has run into this but I assumptions of yesterday appear to be correct. Every time I reconnect to a wifi network I'll have to remember to go into the app itself and re-set the settings.
