    Hi all,

Apologies if this has already been posted.

Google have fixed the problem for UK users changing from a Googlemail to a Gmail email address. If you read their FAQ, it now states that most Google apps should work fine, but Talk may take a day to start working.

I also found this with Market. It was very slow at first (I changed yesterday) but today Market is working as normal.

Finally there is no need to do a factory reset on your phone to fix the previous issues. :)

    Regards

Can you post a link to this info in the FAQ?

Has anyone tried this? Am not sure whether Google have actually done anything or whether this is just a workaround that was always there. It's not clear from the FAQ : Google Mail is becoming Gmail in the UK - Gmail Help

Seem to remember people were having problems accessing the apps market or at least it being in sync with their installed apps.

The part of the FAQ that refers to Android has changed. I had tried a few weeks ago and Market wouldn't work afterwards. It now works fine. Of course, it still shows googlemail.com on the phone, not gmail.
