I'm surprised this hasn't come up but have you tried messing around with the non-moto "motoblur" UI?
What's it like? Do the widgets take up too much room or battery/processor power?
That darn non-stock UI is the only thing I'm afraid of.
And no, I don't want to root my phone, I'm not THAT tech savy or risky.

You're not the only one.

I think the poster is misinformed about the X's UI. I think he believes that there is MotoBlur and another skin that can be enabled over MotoBlur.

I dunno but it's dead in 5-6 hours. CS offered to switch me out to any phone I want because of it being an ongoing problem...

Can you please confirm that one (or more) of the hard buttons wakes up the phone?-so as to not have to hit the power button.

No, but any of the LED light apps work just fine.

You probably aren't using it as much as I am since today was my first full day with it and I was pretty much riding the Metro all day so I had PLENTY of time to play.

precisely what i was going to say...well, for the most part
still good battery life for constant play!
airmaxx got almost 9hrs and is at 50%...................that what i was getting with my inc...without constant use.
maybe some tweaking will get me more.

i dont use my gps all the time and keep wifi and BT off.
