ADW Launcher EX (Best launcher IMO)

ADW Gingerbread theme (use this as the theme)

ADW Nexus S Gingerbread theme (used only for the wallpaper as it's the only way to get the Gingerbread wallpaper unfortunately. Unless you prefer this over the other theme as it has more icons, and the other is more like vanilla icons)

Gingerbread keyboard APK (can be found over at Android Forums & Windows Phone Discussion @ xda-developers)

Lockbot (for lock screen)

Lol...Just cause it sorta looks like gingerbread (notification bar is still all wrong and can't be changed by using a simple theme) doesn't mean its anything like actual gingerbread. This is still just 2.1 and this doesn't even have JIT! This is no replacement for an actual android update. The title of this thread is a little misleading as this is NOT gingerbread without root. It is nothing more than a theme, though people that hate sense might dig this anyway. Just sayin...

Then root the thing. I rooted mine after I finally got the JDK to work on my computer it was pretty simple.

This phone is nearly unbrickable and if you root and need to get it exchanged just flash stock espresso 2.1 update 1 and you will be stock again.

PS-that is NOT my file I am simply showing you how you can go back to stock.
