    I have a 'GooApple V5 3G':
    Gooapple V5-3G Specification | GooApple Blog_GooApple V5_GooApple V5-3g_Ufficial rom for Gooapple v5-3g

    The phone works fine except don't know how to get the GPS to work.

    'GPS Test' says about 12 satellites in view, but I never get any '"lock/fix".

    I'm in Sweden (if it matters) and users with the same phone-model from other countries Europe and US seems to have no big problems getting their GPS to fix (though they may be a bit more tech-savvy).

    Any suggestions on how I can make my GPS lock/fix?

    Click on settings, location and security. Make sure that "use wireless networks" and "use gps satellites" are selected. If they already are selected, unselect then, then select them again.

    Plus, if you are using iGo's sys.txt:
    [gps]
    port="auto"
    baud="auto"

    Try "GPS Status" app. Latest version has made gps lock for my phone very fast.
