I used the GPS for the first time today while out, Just to see how it worked. Cant say as I was thrilled with it. My battery, which was at 79 percent when I started was at 15 percent after the 30 minute ride home. That is with my phone on car charger.

I guess using GPS will be useless. The car charge isnt strong enough to run the phone.

Need to pick up the motorola charger that outputs 950ma. That will keep up with the demand.

You can get that charger for about $5 on Amazon.

The reviews on Amazon, While they look good. The people who actually know what they are talking about are saying that they are getting knock offs of the Moto Charger. One guy even threw up a video of his Moto and the One he just bought, From the same link and seller! The knock offs are pretty bad. The cord is stretched, the plastic snaps together instead of a mold and the springs are crap. I dont know if I want to order there.

If it's changed since I bought mine this will be useless. I was able to select from what seller and I chose Amazon instead of the OEM Store or whatever the hell it was.

The one I got was right as rain and works perfectly. In the factory box, now like the folks that get them in a ziploc bag.

I am extremely fond of it, it's saved me many times when I have been stuck in a waiting for an hour or two with 4G. I never worry about it dying since I can charge while I drive.

I have the MOTO charger. It has a clear round indicator with the MOTO logo etched into it that glows blue when plugged in.

My Thunderbolt sees it as an AC charger when it's plugged into it. It will charge the phone when navigating, though slowly.

Well worth the $5 from Amazon.

    Posted with my Thunderbolt.

My car charger charges my TB while using the GPS just fine. Nothing special about ny charger.

I use a regular Verizon car charger and it charges the TB faster than if it's plugged into a wall outlet.

Guys, although the chargers all look the same, some output less power than others. This is why everyone is getting different performance from their chargers.

If you want to run navigation or anything else that is power hungry, you need a powerful charger. Look for high numbers 800, 900 mAh Output. 1A Output seems to be best.

The power output is usually written on the charger somewhere very very small. Usually on a label. Some cheaper chargers have very low outputs (~350-450 mAh) which is why they are so cheap.

The higher the output, the faster your phone will charge.
