Help GPS Causes Lockup

Whenever I go to Menu, Settings Location ans Security, and tap Use GPs Satellites the phone locks up and I have to pull the battery to get a restart.

In essence if I want to turn GPS on I go through the above, the phone locks up, I pull the battery, reboot, and I have GPS Service. To stop the service, go through the process tap the GPS off, pull battery reboot.

HELP, any suggestions

Have you tried a new kernal? I know kernals can have different results with different programs.
