Help GPS icon

The GPS icon is constantly flashing. Something afoot with the gps system?

If you mean the GPS icon in your status bar, it means that the GPS is not locked onto enough satellites to give you an accurate location fix.

Mine does that if I haven't used it for quite a while. I turn on Google Navigation, tell it to give me directions home (or some other pre-loaded destination, it really doesn't matter) and throw it on my dashboard. Once the turn by turn directions start talking to me, I know its locked on the satellites.

It is easier for it to get a lock if you leave it in a window or other location with unobstructed view of the sky. The GPS antenna will struggle to hold a lock in some buildings.

I had to do a hard reset last night, the phone stopped responding and the screen went black. This happened over the course of 3 hrs (on and off) and after calling technical support they, advised a hard reset. The phone is not working correctly today I'm having issues I never had before.

That sounds like its possibly a defective phone. GPS blinking out, now the display and CPU are blinking out, too.

You may want to do another FR, and if its still acting nutty, take it in and ask them to give you another one.

I had the phone replaced last night. So far, so good.
