Is anyone else in a large city experiencing issues with the GPS finding their location?

I realize this probably has to do with the fact that im surrounded by skyscrapers, but I still find it a little odd that not a single GPS satellite is found. Could this be a defect in my phone?

I should also note that the little gps icon on the status bar just keeps blinking.

Ok, so I just tried it outside and still no luck. I even tried a free app that lists satellites near your area and stuff and mine shows 0. :(

Damn, zero replies? I'm trying to figure out if my phone is defective or if it has to do with my location. Any thoughts?

Did all that, and the GPS icon still only flashes.

Is it supposed to be a constant icon on the status bar if it's working correctly?

Hey bro, I had the same issue. I had down loaded "Weather Bug". My buddy told me that there is an issue with this app. I uninstalled it, and my GPS finds my location now. Hope this helps

Actually, make sure wifi is turned ON. It will get a fix with that if you are in a place shielded from satellites that is more accurate than cell id. Are you getting any positioning data at all? Have you ever? Are you sure the settings are correct?

Before VZW unlocked gps's wifi was the next best thing.
