I just got my new droid and I love the phone love the SDK. My GPS how ever is not getting a signal so I am only getting a fuzzy location via cell triangulation. If i disable "Use wireless networks" and enable "Use GPS satellites" the phone can not get a position. I am in downtown Boston and went out to the park to make sure I was not obstructed somehow ?

I called Verizon who told me go to the the google website where it just said check the box next to "Use GPS" which I have already done?

Any other thoughts on this? This could be a device issues but verizon does not have anyway to test and google does not support the device ?

I would try exchanging it and see if another unit works better. My Droid's GPS works better than any device I have seen here in NYC, where buildings block a lot of signals. If you went to the park and could not get a fix, there may be an issue with your device.

Actually, before exchanging it, give "GPS Status" a try (you can find it for free in the marketplace). It will tell you how many satellites you can see, what the margin of error is, etc.

Again, my Droid's GPS is AMAZING. You should be getting really good results. Oh, and BTW, this would have nothing to do with Verizon.
