HTC DHD with Android 2.3.3 (SW number 2.43.661.1)

When i switch on GPS in "location" an icon shows up in the notification bar.
This "ON" icon still there even GPS is disabled. In order to get rid of it the phone has to be "RESTART" (not work with "power off"). Is this a bug?
    Any thing help?

    Thank you !!

Sounds like it because the icon on mine disappears as soon as the app using the GPS function is exited (maps, location, facebook check-in etc).

Only other thing I can think of is have you enabled an "always on" feature in Google Latitude that is causing this? https://www.google.com/latitude/b/0/apps

    Thank you for your reply.

"Google Latitude" in my phone is switched off, I never use it. Any other suggest?

Factory reset is the phone version of "ctrl alt delete" so you could try that.. seems to wipe a lot of buggy behaviour but you will need to back up your SD card etc and re-set up your accounts afterwards.

If that doesn't work then bring it back to the shop as faulty
