I'm a new Droid x user and deliver pizzas. For four or five hours I have Google map navigation running all the time. My car charger can't keep up. Please help.

Kind of weird my car charger is as fast or faster maybe than a wall outlet. usb from the computer is very slow. Maybe different cars have different output from the cigarette lighter? My car is 28 years old. Maybe newer ones limit the current?

It's more likely to be the car charger. They usually deliver either 500mA (which is the maximum current draw for a USB device when connected to a PC) or 1A, which will allow your phoen to charge while using GPS.

Mine is an older car > usb adapter and still allows my phone to drain slowly due to this limit!

This. Check your car charger and see if it's the 500mA or the 1A output. If it's the 500mA version, look for a 1A charger.
