GPS/Waypoint offline navigation

Hi all

Many questions have been asked about gps/gpx/waypoint applications and I have one more niche question!

I wish to plot a route on a map on a pc (web tool whatever) upload it to the phone and follow the route using an offline map.

My issues are what waypoint/track softwares are there that work well for this task? And what android apps are capable of following a track?

I have played around with atlas creator, maverick and orux with limited success. Also tried using Marengo gps for creating way points with limited success.

The usecase is for hiking, I have a route in mind and want to use the gps to keep us on course.

I really hope someone can help as searching the android market for applications is a real big headache!

I like Maverick a lot because of its easy to use interface :) It tracks, imports and exports routes and single waypoints.

But as I see, you want this route features with waypoints inside the route.
ViewRanger is an other great offroad nav app. I think it has this route features.
