Root GPS won't work?

I have the Maps app, and I can get my location, but when I try to get driving directions, I just get stuck on "searching for GPS". Running CTmod 3.68, and the latest Kouma. I tried GPSfix, GPS assist, and FasterFix, nothing seems to help. I'm scared, Hold me!

What ROM are u on?
Did you enable wifi (even with no connection it helps zero in)

Try going to menu>settings> location >gps source and select internal (not all roms have this)

CTmod 3.68, Kouma 2.5, and FF19. Forgive me, LV, I'm still learning all this stuff, so I don't know if I'm giving you all the info you need. And I don't get a internal option for my GPS. but yeah, I have wifi enabled.

Are you using the newest version of koumamod? (not included in ct.zip)
Are you using data mode?
Did you check the box to 'disable internal data'?
The version of koumamod that comes with the ROM has an issue with breaking gps if the box isn't checked.

And yes, that was precisely the info i was looking for :)

Also, to be clear, kouma kernel and koumamod are two different things. (in case you didn't know)

the box for disable internal data was NOT checked, but I fixed that, now, It's Kouma Kernel, ver 2.6.35.14-PREVL-KK-2.5. So, am I not running a ROM, or is CTmod my ROM?

btw, it still doesn't work. not sure what's wrong.

Ctmod is your ROM
Koumakernel is your kernel
Koumamod is the app that moves your data to the sdcard

Once you select disable internal data, boot into cwm and select wipe cache then advanced> wipe dalvik cache. And reboot. (not sure if the wipes are needed, but they can't hurt.) The reboot will take a while as it rebuilds your dalvik. Once done try using gps again.
