Great Announcement for Ascend/Metro regarding Froyo 2.2 !!!!

Hello everyone,
Great news, I just went to the Metro PCS store where I both my Ascend and the owner of the store locate here in Dallas, TX conformed that yesterday a conference call was hold for all stores owners and managers given the updates for this first quarter of the year and Froyo will be launch for the Ascend/Metro costumers February 21. He showed me the email from Metro indicating the news were Metro users will be getting the upgrade information via their goggle account. He also made a comment that all Ascends for sale after that Monday will be available with Froyo 2.2!!!!!!!!

That is no rumor I saw the email with my own eyes and the owner of the store is a very nice and well educated/reliable person. Also, one of his employees were very excited about the announcement since he owns a Ascend as well.

I called another store and they told me the same thing regarding the 2.2 for February 21. Let's cross our fingers and wait for 10 more days!

When metro gets this update, you can bet that people will be working on porting it over to cricket the next day. Hell, people are still trying to put that chinese version on their phones. We will get this sooner or later whether cricket wants to help us out or not. Bet on it.

Gmash, what's really funny is that the people here who have tried to put the chinese version on their phones wound up with a phone all in Chinese! LOL And it still wouldn't work.
