Here's a fabulous review article by John Lamb, with iPhone and AT&T plan comparison.

at the bottom of the artical he said he can renew his primary line every year.hows he get to do that ????
  3. I've been using annual upgrade for a couple years now. If your voice plan (just voice plan, not including data/additional line charges) is over a certain amount (I want to say $50/month, but not sure), you have the option to upgrade annually at the discounted "2-year contract price". So you don't get the "new every new" $50 or $100 towards the phone, but you don't have to pay full retail. As fast as phones are coming out now-a-days, I think it's totally worth it.
